Rowbank Angling Club club control the fishing on Rowbank and Barcraigs reservoirs which are high up in the hills above Howwood in Renfrewshire . You can fish for stocked rainbow and brown trout as well as wild brown trout , pike and perch . It is a fly only water but members are allowed to spin for pike using barbless hooks from the 3rd July to the 13th of March inclusive . To fish the waters you must join the club and pay a yearly subscription or buy a day ticket from authorised outlets . Fishing for Rainbow trout is allowed 365 days a year for members of the club , fishing for brown trout is permitted only in the " brown trout season " . Day ticket holders are only permitted to fish in the " brown trout season " .
