HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well another year is upon us , and we already have a new car park and hut , maybe just maybe we will get some boats , what scope that would give those members who fish the reservoirs.
I just hope and pray that the committee and members get together and find a way of getting boats .
Not long now till the start of the season or if your like me you will still be fishing , look forward to the coming season and meeting all the old faces up at the waters.

Rowbank AC manage fishing on both Rowbank and Barcraigs Reservoir.  Rowbank  Reservoir opened by Provost Murray on the 13th April 1870, and the reservoir was extended in the 1930's. Barcraigs was opened in 1916.

The fishery is now well established and the marginal and aquatic fly and bait life is prolific.  The water quality is excellent.

Rowbank & Barcraigs AC would like to thank all anglers who support the Club  and 2009 promises to be another great year for the fishing enthusiast.

There has been anglers visiting from all over Scotland and from other parts of the United Kingdom also.

The only accepted method of fishing both reservoirs, is fly fishing, with july onwards being the exception to the rule as members are permitted to fish the water with artificial lures, barbless hooks for pike, if desired, in addition to trout fishing.
